Paul Gilbert is one of the most popular guitar players in the history of guitar playing. In fact, he is conducting lessons now and doing concerts on his own. He is revered as one of the best guitar players in the industry. He was voted top 4 in the Top 10 Greatest Guitar Shredders of All Time in the GuitarOne magazine. He is also part of the 50 Fastest Guitarists of All Time by Guitar World.
He was born on the 6th of November 1966 in Illinois. He was part of Racer X and Mr. Big. He has also released several solo albums. He also did collaborate with Joe Satriani and John Petrucci during the 2007 G3 tour.
In 1981 to 1982, Paul spoke with Mike Varney, who founded Shrapnel Records, requesting for a gig with Ozzy Osbourne. Paul was 15 years old at that time. And Varney couldn鈥檛 see why Ozzy Osbourne would want to be playing alongside a 15-year-old guy. But when he played Paul鈥檚 demo, he instantly knew that he was something. They communicated constantly for the next 3 years. And when Paul came to LA for the Guitar Institute of Technology, he was shortly asked to join Racer X. He was able to record the debut album, Street Lethal.
Paul played with Juan Alderete, Harry Gschoesser and Jeff Martin. They were influenced mostly by Judas Priest. Paul was playing like Yngwie Malmsteen. He displayed fast-driven solos and a very extreme level of technique. Gschoesser was then replaced by Scott Travis. Bruce Bouillet then joined in 1986 as a second guitar player. Paul earned his fame for his technical pieces in Frenzy, Scarified, Scit Scat Wah and B.R.O. He left Racer X in 1988. The band would eventually regroup without Bouillet to produce a reunion album, Technical Difficulties.
In 1988, Paul Gilbert joined by Billy Sheehan, who used to be part of David Roth鈥檚 band. They founded the popular, Mr. Big, together with Pat Torpey and Eric Martin. They made huge success in Japan. Their name spread internationally in 1991 during the release of the second album, Lean into It. This album carries the popular song, To Be With You. Paul left the band in 1997 to pursue a solo career.
He is greatly influenced by Eddie Van Halen, Tony Iommi, Alex Lifeson, Akira Takasaki, Randy Rhoads, Yngwie Malmsteen, Robin Trower, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hednrix and The Ramones. He has also declared numerous times that he was also greatly influenced by his uncle, Jimi Kidd. He was the guy who got Paul into playing the guitar. He also listens to The Beach Boys and The Beatles.
Paul, as mentioned earlier, now teaches guitar. He writes his own column in Total Guitar. And he demonstrates how to do guitar techniques in a CD. He teaches at the Guitar Institute of Technology regularly and is as well an honorary dean in the Japanese division of the Institute.
Harvey Mosley started developing his passion for music at age of 10. He learned to play guitar songs at age of 13 and pursued his love for music since then. He owns now a music studio and inspires many students to learn to play guitar songs.

Iron Cross
Sab Grey was a regular fixture at early DC punk shows. He made his way down with the Baltimore punk contingent. By the time he moved to DC in 1981, he had adopted more of an "oi" appearance. "oi" was style of dress and music that was coming out of England, and one that involved more of what would be considered a "skinhead" fashion. At this point in time, however, the DC scene didn’t make any real distinction between punk rockers and skinheads, and certainly the more political (nationalist and/or racist) aspects of that movement had not come into the picture.
Sab was one of the original tenants of the Dischord House along with Ian, Jeff, and two of The Untouchables, Rich and Eddie. In early 1981 Sab met up with Dante and Mark, two kids who had played together in a number of bands (Punk Ruins, The Outsiders, Broken Cross) and formed Iron Cross. After practicing and performing with a string of bass players, including Cynthia Connolly and Chris Haskett (who actually plays bass on the the "Flex Your Head" tracks), they started playing with Wendel soon after SOA broke up.
Aside from three songs on Dischord’s "Flex Your Head" compilation, the band only released two singles (on their own Skinflint label), but certainly made their mark as one of America's first "oi" bands.
Wendle was the first to leave the band in 1982 followed by Dante and Mark (who went on to to form Gray Matter in 1983) and thus began a revolving line up that continues with Sab at the center.

The Way To Be A Good Guitar Teacher
Studying guitar is not an easy thing ,studying guitar well is a difficult thing especially when you use james hetfield iron cross guitar. So for the teach how to give students more knowledge is also tenderness. Many guitar teachers struggle to help their guitar students make consistent progress in their guitar playing, but the result is just wasting time and money .There is quite a lot that you can do to become a more effective guitar teacher and help a huge majority of your guitar students improve their musical skills. Here I give some tips to every teacher or student .
When teaching your guitar students, you must remember that you are not teaching 'music', you are teaching 'people'. As you know, people have emotions, they get frustrated and they sometimes beat themselves up inside their own minds when their guitar playing problems seem hard to fix. Because of this fact, when solving your guitar students' problems your main focus needs to be on the causes that are 'easiest to resolve' and can be overcome quickly. In addition to helping your students improve, this approach will help them to overcome the emotional challenges that they have when learning to play guitar.
Among the many direct benefits that your guitar students receive from studying with you, there is one hugely important intangible element that helps them to make faster progress by taking guitar lessons with you than they ever could on their own. This element is a sense of 'accountability' that your guitar students feel to learn and practice when they study guitar with you.
After you help your students to see that they CAN overcome a minor issue with their playing, they will become more confident in their ability to overcome the next (bigger) issue in front of them. This method for solving your guitar students’ problems is one of the keys to your long term success as a guitar teacher.
Most guitar teachers take a 'linear approach' to teaching guitar. That means they like to take their guitar students through the learning process in a step-by-step sequential way. The linear approach to teaching guitar makes perfect sense 'if' you were teaching a machine. However (as described above), you are teaching human beings who are imperfect, non linear in their thinking, subject to emotions and who have their own 'reasons' for playing guitar.
To avoid this unnecessary frustration and to help your guitar students make faster progress, you should begin to use the Geometric Guitar Teaching Method™. This means that you should not wait until each step is mastered before moving onto learning about the next musical skill (or concept).
Although such approach to teaching guitar may seem counterintuitive at first, the fact is that guitar students progress fastest when they learn to apply and integrate your lesson materials WHILE they are learning to master it, and NOT "afterwards". Try my Geometric Guitar Teaching Method™ with several of your guitar students for a few months and you will see improved rate of progress in their guitar playing and overall musicianship.
If anybody has better advice ,please give me response ,I also want to be a better student .
